Fendi
Fendi has always kept company with the best. Today, Fendi is a popular, pricey brand amongst Hollywood and the fashion elite. The year was 1925 and the place Italy, when the Fendi House first opened its doors as Rome’s first handbag shop and fur workshop. Creative couple, Edoardo and Adele Fendi, produced quality furs that quickly got the attention of Italy’s bourgeoisie.
Come 1946 Edoardo and Adele still kept business in the family, enlisting the help and of their five daughters, who created new designs and brainstormed new ideas. Flash forward a few decades: by 1977 the Fendi family launched its first ready to wear collection, and by this time, had firmly established itself as a cream of the crop designer. In 2005, Fendi celebrated its eightieth anniversary, and remembering its roots, opened up headquarters in Rome.
Widely known for their furs and leathers, Fendi’s designs put the “s” in splurge, especially when it comes to their footwear. During the fall and winter seasons, you’re sure to find boots, boots, and more boots. Their exotic cheetah print ankle bootie has 4 inch heels and plenty of sass to boot. Black suede trim around the ankle balances the loud print, creating an overall sexy, sophisticated shoe. Whether looking for boots, sandals, or pumps, Fendi’s skyscraper heels are not for the faint of heart.
The house of Fendi stands on three key pillars: creativity, technology, and craftsmanship and continues to embrace innovation and expansion. It’s hard to believe this iconic brand’s humble beginnings as a little shop in Italy. Fendi’s bold designs and attention to quality have firmly established them in the fashion cannon. With a long, successful past, it’s hard to imagine anything but a bright future.
