This Tennessee native first had aspirations of becoming a veterinarian working as a sketch artist for a local pageant boutique on the side. Kayne switched gears from furry friends to fashion and transferred to New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2002. Soon after, he opened his own women’s clothing boutique, and in 2006 was selected to be part of Bravo’s Project Runway-a competitive show for up and coming designers.
