VPL
In early 2003, renowned fashion designer Victoria Bartlett began thinking about what, until that time, had been considered a major fashion faux pas- the visible panty line. Shying away from the lacy, barely-there products available to the masses, this innovative designer instead began showing utilitarian yet stylish inner wear pieces peeping out of her designs on major runways world wide. From its’ inception, the Visible Panty Line brand (VPL) received rave reviews, eventually expanding into a tour de force of accessories, ready to wear ensembles, and of course, amazing shoes.
VPL’s shoes are produced with the same design theory as the clothing collections themselves by combining what look to be staid colors and forms with the unconventional and unexpected. Customers will be surprised by taupe flats sporting extravagant trims from neon blue elastic to zigzag stitching and what looks to be a typical knee high boot with undergarment like fabric on the heel. Although these innovative concepts are much more subtle in the shoe collections, the creatively styled pieces are a must for those women who eschew traditional sexiness and dare to be unique in a conventional world.
