Zinc

If you are a trend setter, if you like to have what no one else has and what perhaps no one else is brave enough to wear, you will love Zinc shoes. Slightly retro inspired, but also like nothing you’ve ever seen before, these heels and platform wedges are extremely fashion forward, yet at the same time ready to be worn with a pair of jeans or simple Capri’s to really show them off. One particularly original style is the Zinc “security” heel, possibly named after its intimidating heel, standing at about four and a half heels high, approximately 4 square inches thick. That’s right—they’re basically bell bottom heels. The heel widens toward the end, creating a unique bell shape that just nearly touches the front part of the shoe. While you could probably cause some serious damage if you used these shoes as a weapon, they are actually quite feminine on foot, with a squared off peep toe, gold foot bed, and thin laces looping together the two flaps of material in the middle. Another unexpected combination of traits is found in the Zinc “Marty II.” At first very playful and innocent in all of its ballerina flat glory, with small bow adorning the vamp, but the patent cap toe and matching elastic back sets it off as a little more daring. And the handsome, almost aristocratic leather argyle upper gives it a very grown up look, ready for the Country Club—but possibly provoking a few suspicious glances from the older members. Each pair of Zinc heels is rare enough to look like it cost about $400, and for this reason would fit perfectly into a ritzy Country Club. But actually ranging just between $60 and $90, the only thing deluxe about these shoes are the styles.
